Course Summary:
The Waste Designation course covers waste designation and land disposal requirements and implementation in accordance with Washington Administrative Code 173-303.

The training includes the following topics:

Listed waste
Characteristic waste
Washington criteria waste
Advanced topics
Acute hazardous waste
Land disposal requirements

Target Audience:
This course is intended for waste coordinators, shippers, or writers.

Course Prerequisites:
There are no course prerequisites.

Course Evaluation:
An examination will be used to measure student mastery of the training objectives. The student must attain a score of 80 percent or higher on the written examination for successful course completion.

In addition, a workshop of practical exercises must be satisfactorily completed. The students must demonstrate proficiency on all practical exercises.

16 hours

Course Frequency:
1-2 times each quarter and upon request
