Course Summary:
The Container Waste Management Initial course includes federal, state, and company policies in the management of containerized dangerous waste. The retrain frequency is 12 months.

The training includes the following topics:

Organizations which govern management of dangerous waste
Types of waste generated and managed at Hanford
Pollution prevention
Satellite accumulation area requirements
Characterization and segregation of dangerous waste
Determining accumulation start dates
Unknown waste requirements
90 day accumulation area requirements
Non-regulated waste requirements
Dangerous waste and mixed waste disposal requirements

Target Audience:
This course is intended for advanced general workers and persons-in-charge.

Course Prerequisites:
Waste Management Awareness, Course 02006G

Course Evaluation:
An examination will be used to measure whether or not the student has met the training objectives.

The student must attain a score of 80 percent or higher on the written examination for successful course completion.

Course Length:
16 hours

Course Frequency:
1 time each quarter and upon request
