Course Summary:
The Bucket Truck Qualification course provides classroom and hands-on training for qualification of personnel to operate bucket trucks. The retrain frequency for this course is 36 months.

The training includes the following topics:

Pre-start inspection prior to aerial lift operation
Safety placards, required specification displays, capacity charts and operators manual prior to hands-on use of aerial lift
Safety standard during aerial lift operation
Safety design requirements to operate an aerial lift within its configuration capacity

Target Audience:
This course is intended for employees with responsibilities for safety, operations, maintenance, or engineering.

Course Prerequisites:
There are no course prerequisites.

Course Evaluation:
A written examination and hands-on evaluation will be used to measure student mastery of the training objectives. The student must attain a score of 80 percent or higher on the written examination for successful course completion.
