Course Summary:
A Combination of lecture and demonstration is followed by actual hands-on operation of a fire extinguisher. The lecture shall include the following topics: classes of fires, types of fire extinguishers, ratings of fire extinguishers, inspections of fire extinguishers, fire fighting methods, safety, and lessons learned.

The course covers the following topics.

A fire watches assigned & dedicated to hotwork jobs are trained/understands the following:
The area to be firewatched
Potential fire hazards (to personnel and property)
Appropriate emergency procedures and actions
Methods for sounding the alarm(s)
Procedure for manually activating fire suppression systems
Fire watch and hands-on portable fire extinguisher training
