Course Summary:
The Auditing Methods for Lead Auditors course focuses on the skills and qualifications needed by lead auditors to perform audits or independent assessments. It focuses on topics required for lead auditor certification in accordance with ASME NQA-1. Background information is reviewed before the fundamentals of the audit process are examined in-depth. Course materials are presented by lecture and interactive workshops. This course is a companion to Effectiveness Verification Workshops. There is no retrain frequency for this course. Requirements overview
Overview of verification methods
Audit administration
Audit team participant training and qualification
Audit planning, performance, and reporting
Evaluation, follow-up, and closeout

Target Audience:
Personnel who wish to certify as a lead auditor (or equivalent) and those who will be functioning in that capacity will benefit from this course.

Course Prerequisites:
There are no course prerequisites.

Course Evaluation:
A written examination will be used to measure student mastery of the training objectives. The student must attain a score of 80 percent or higher on the written examination for successful course completion.

24 hours

2 times each year and upon request
