Course Summary:
This is a one-day course designed to familiarize attendees with operational considerations for the selection of breaching points as well as the practical application of mechanical breaching methods and associated tactics. The battering ram, halligan tool and window porting will be covered during this course. Demonstrations, practical scenarios and classroom instruction on the philosophical and practical issues will be the focus of the course. The course is geared toward the SWAT officer, patrol officer, investigations and narcotics detectives tasked with making building entries during calls for service or for search warrants

Target Audience:
This course is intended for use by sworn law enforcement tactical team members, narcotics officers, or any law enforcement personnel engaged in building entries that require forced entry into the location.

Course Prerequisites:
There are no course prerequisites.

Course Evaluation:
Practical exercises will be used to measure student mastery of the training objectives.
