Course Summary:
This three-day course is designed to familiarize attendees with leadership concepts for tactical team leaders. Several areas are covered during this course such as selection and training of tactical team personnel, operational planning, team organization, make-up and utilization, as well as operator and team leader responsibilities. Classroom instruction as well as practical application of knowledge and skills through mock mission briefings and execution of mock missions will be the focus of the course

The local Hazardous Materials Management Emergency Response (HAMMER) training facility's practical areas will be used to present "real as it gets" training.

The course covers the following topics:

Leadership concepts for tactical team leaders

Selection and training of tactical team personnel

Operational planning

Team organization

Make-up and utilization

Operator and team leader responsibilities

Target Audience:
This course is intended for use by sworn law enforcement officers, military personnel or any enforcement personnel responsible for developing tactical plans.

Course Prerequisites:
None required.

Course Evaluation:
Practical exercises will be used to measure student mastery of the training objectives.
